Former New Zealand cricket coach Mike Hesson is tipped to become the next coach of Pakistan's cricket team after the Pakistan Cricket Commission (PCB) announced that it would not renew the head coach's contract I'm Mickey Arthur.
"Hesson has been chosen by Pakistan as A potential replacement for Mickey Arthur as job opportunities open up in the cricket world," said Stuff.co.nz. Hesson announced Thursday in a tweet post that he would not work with the Kings XI franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
This development comes after the PCB announced that head coach Mickey Arthur would train alongside batting coach Grant Flower and bowling coach Azhar Mahmood. Due to the failure of Pakistan's cricket team to qualify for the 2019 ICC World Cup semi-finals. Hesson coached New Zealand for six years from 2012 to 2018, a term that features the Black Caps' memorable run at the 2015 World Cup.
